The program was presented by Deb H. and was called "How To Make An American Quilt". Participants were to work together as a team to use provided fabrics to create a 20"x30" quilt. Additional fabrics could be "purchased" by answering questions about the people in your group.
It was interesting to see how different the groups were. One group immediately seized the fabric bag and started placing squares and rectangles while another of the groups carefully sorted out their fabrics by size and color.
Several of the groups spent their first moments answering questions and getting ready to purchase fabric.
One team started out with one design and then completely cleared their board and started over.
All of the first layouts were simple, containing only the squares and rectangles that were given, but as the time proceeded, they started adding triangles and other embellishments.
